I don’t know the history for my 1942 Omega RAF pilots watch…but I am paying it respect and slowly giving it the full nostalgia tour as it keeps on ticking….
.
That just looks like way too much fun! Nice watch and it belongs in the sky!

I like tool watches too.
The fully hermetic Longines is the only one of it's kind I think I have ever seen. It is common to see Rolex, Eberhard, IWC, and a few others use this type of case. For some reason, Longines did not make many and so this watch is ultra rare for Longines. This is the first waterproof Longines. Finger's 1921 design. Unknown if this is the last one in existence, but no other have shown up in 10 years.

I have a couple of US Army Air Corps issued weems. My other big pilots are German, Italian, and Dutch government or military procurements.

There should be seperate thread for each of these watches, wow!

This is my 6B/159. There are some unverified theory that a few MWR members
suggested that this is a "prototype" of a COSD using a 6B/159. Apparently several
watches developed by the MoD used 6B/159 movements to trial diving watches
like the ATO. Maybe the same watch or similar was seen at Birmingham, UK by
Foilguy, the heirs claim that their father received the watch in 1950 in this condition
with the red hands and 6B/159. The dial is really nice natural apricot color patina.

Structurally, the watch is interesting because a COSD Longines movement won't
fit in it. The case is a little too big and needs a 6B/159 size dial to stay in place.
There is no sign of any COSD markings either and looks nearly NOS.

I left more than 80 years of crud around the crystal and internal rings to show it has never been taken apart. The crud touches both sides of the crystal and casing so you can see it is as found.

This one is an example of an historic watch. The first battery powered watch available in stores. The 14-karat gold Hamilton Ventura was introduced in New York City in January, 1957. Hamilton wanted to make certain that these new watches registered with the public as being different! Hamilton turned the task of designing their all new Hamilton Electric watches over to designer, Richard Arbib. Arbib worked with Harley Earl of General Motors, to put fins on the 1948 Cadillac. The Ventura was featured in the movie Men in Black, although the watches in the movie were latter day copies, plated cases, quartz movements, produced by Hamilton/Swatch. Elvis Presley (among others) had Hamilton Venturas. His recently sold at auction for major money.

I have another Longines that is historic.

A few hints as you've may already know the watch. It has nothing personally to do with the Queen except she is sovereign head of the organization or at least was until she "abdicated" it to her son the Great Master. Some of you very knowledgeable Brits have an advantage and may spot a clue. This won't be enough though to identify the watch yet. More clues later.

Second clue. He has a lot to do with this ship and shipyard. In fact he was highly decorated by France, Poland, America, and UK for his record setting work. At this time, UK had the largest number of ships and was the most powerful Navy in the world.

Third Clue
He is strongly associated with the first three of these buildings. Ultimately people he influenced resulted in the last two buildings.

This building is too obscure, it is where ULTRA was distributed. It is the OIC.

This building is of course been in many James Bond movies. 1280px-SIS_building_%2826327425611%29.jpg

Fourth Clue
Slight stretch but there is an association. Especially to the person on the left.

That does not narrow it down when someone’s title is ……His Royal Highness Prince Charles Philip Arthur George, Prince of Wales, KG, KT, GCB, OM, AK, QSO, PC, ADC, Earl of Chester, Duke of Cornwall, Duke of Rothesay, Earl of Carrick, Baron of Renfrew, Lord of the Isles and Prince and Great Steward of Scotland.

A contact with Bletchley Park once contacted me asking if they could display the watch. We had a conversation about the watch and a document that he helped me authentic with his former Royal Appointment background.

He worked directly for both of these people.

And he was extremely frustrated with this.
I am sure he thought his boss was an idiot.

So while his boss was having a party.

And this was happening

"Who's side are we on?"

And his boss says to the whole world. "I've avoided war, who needs Poland anyways?"

He is watching Adolf talking to his buddies saying, "I can't believe it, Chamberlain gave me all of Europe"

I have a coin that was minted for the Munich Conference in 1938.

By Jove ( "Jaggers") I think I have had the ‘intelligence’ to work it out …. Well you gave enough clues ️‍♀️…..
