Um, procreation is meant to be done with out protection. The whole point of protection is to prevent procreation. 🤦

Do we bother getting this back on topic?
Here is my Speedmaster '57 at the bottom of my pool. But since it was only rated to 10 bar WR, I swim with my watch arm tied to my body, so I don't increase the pressure past its WR, while in 6 feet of water. Pretty much just swim in circles and looks like I'm drowning most of the time, but I would rather that then risk it
nice water resistance camera.
For a lot of folks, it would be ideal to be a one-watch owner. In many ways the Speedmaster hits all the marks for most people: classic design, historical association, time keeping, fits under a sleeve, chronograph, etc.
A well-worn and aged Speedmaster looks good! It looks right. And the only way to get there is through time (or buying used). The only way to give it the exposure that it needs, is to wear it. Sometimes that means encountering the universal solvent.
So I am sympathetic to those who wish its WR rating was higher and that the crown was, at least, screw down. But it's not. So you'll just have to settle for a Submariner.
Kind Regards,
Ben
My doctor checks my gasket every year now.
Do you think I'm still rated for 5 bar?
Why not do the whole 6 pack while sitting at the bar?
I don't plan on it as I have a Seamaster 300 on me for the warmer months, but I've been wondering for those who only own a Speedy. Has anyone taken it in the water? (i.e. - Paddleboarding, tubing, etc.?)
Obviously paddle boarding and the like doesn't involve one going down 300 meters in the water, and much less than the 50 meter of the Speedy.
Anyway, just curious!
