Picked this up recently. It had a big discount and I've wanted a Benchmade smaller knife.

I only know what I read about steel, which is that the S90V can chip. That's okay for packages and odd jobs in the kitchen. Sharp out of the box.

Super light and the handle is very "touchable" (whatever that means.) Nice smooth finish but not slick. Decent sized blade for a relatively small knife.

I like it 😀

It’s from the Stone Age.

Nice.

Carbon fiber?

Yep. Besides looking and feeling good, it does have an ever so slight texture. I may be just regurgitating marketing, but it's seems grippier than steel or wood.

I mentioned earlier that I live about 30 mins from Benchmade so looking forward to their lifetime support.

Lower level sanding on Micarta and carbon fibre lead to a nice grippy touch and feel…

I have some nice stuff. Not cheap, but super strong and light.

New knife day! The more I collect knives, the more I think I really do prefer Wharncliffes for most of my daily needs.

Recently picked up a Mini Bugout. It is a great EDC, and a welcomed upgrade to my Gerber LST ultralight which requires sharpening after every use.

Depending on where you live :-(
Indeed true. Wisconsin only recently made them legal. The previous law was interestingly written... they were illegal unless a person had onlly one hand/arm.

Had someone at work ask for a knife to give as a Christmas present.

Being a fishing knife and having 2 days to make it, 😗 I threw a handle on a Stainless Steel Brisa blank.

Sassafras handle with G10 liners and pins.

Er.....yeah.

It still had a bit of apple residue so I had to wash it for a debut photo 😁.

Brisa makes great blades. The first one a made some years ago with a brisa blade. Buffalo horn and moose antler.

and a one I made more recntly with curly birch and a polar cheap hammered blade. very hard carbon steel and a pain in the neck to sharpen.
