As I was bored yesterday in bought this cheap little portuguese pocket knife. Carbon blade. Belive it or not it's made in Portugal and costs about 20 euros. It's rather basic but will be perfect for a one day moutain hike.

My eye caught the Webley first. Beautiful.

It's not a collecting focus but I have collected a few knives over the years. Mostly military stuff. Don't have a lot of photos of knives though.

World War II era second pattern (bottom) and third pattern (top) Fairbairn Sykes knives. Shown with a Webley Mark IV. I love both U.S. and British militaria.

Was issued to the Argentina Federal Police same emblem on issued 45 below the knife made in 1909 the 45 from the 1930's. Was at an antique show in Billing MT some years ago saw this and thought dam that would go good with the 45. The knife German made. The knife and scabbard both have serial numbers they both match, so they been together a long time without getting lost. Would not like to break the law in Argentina when these were in use.

Something a bit different. These are desk knives/letter openers in sterling silver, made by well known designer and silversmith Stuart Devlin in the 1970s, and hallmarked for London. The grips are hand hammered and gilded. The bottom knife is double bladed - very handsome.

I like racing, I like knives. What's the best combo? Duh.

Below is a Roland Riddle Custom Knife Set - Made for Racing Legend Ralph Johnson (Smokey Yunick's right hand man)

Made by Master Bladesmith Roland Riddle in Andes, NY. Absolutely amazing work, including scrimshaw by his personal friend, Denise Kondrla. Sadly, Riddle died in July 2001 at age 52 so his craft does not go on but this set is from his most masterful years.

Ralph Johnson's Initials(RRJJ - Ralph R Johnson Junior) are inscribed on one side, an image of a wolf on the other side, all done by hand. The scrimshaw is signed and dated on each, one blade 1997, the other 1998. Beautiful African Ivory handles.

I know this is an old thread, but these photos caught my eye! I had the pleasure of striking up a friendship with Roland Riddle many many years ago at one of the knife shows in the New York City area. Visited him in his shop in New York before he made the move down to Florida. I have several pieces of his; a couple I purchased and two he gave as gifts for helping him find a dog to adopt. Sweet man gone way too soon.

Figured since I was new to this group I would join in on the fun! I have a modest collection of handmade art knives. This is a custom piece from Dellana Warren:
