It really is a special watch, which kind of snuck up on me out of nowhere. Looking at online reviews it seems somewhat polarizing, but it sure floats my boat. The thickness is decent (I measure 11.8mm) and it seems to wear a little smaller than the stated 39mm case diameter (I measure 39.25). It has on-the-fly micro-adjustments on the bracelet, and every surface is brushed. I purchased it in anticipation of some overseas travel planned for later this year because of its under-the-radar character. It will likely be the only watch I take with me, and I think I can even get by wearing it to a wedding we'll be attending in a somewhat sketchy part of the Middle East.
When I put it on I feel a bit like I'm Ian Fleming with his beloved 1016 Explorer, except that this watch is a heck of a lot less expensive than a 1016, and I won't shed a tear if it gets a few dings on it.
