I have this little pocket watch about 21 years it's still working perfectly it was left from my grandmother and its been sitting in a box in a cupboard All these years is anyone able to give me any info on it I've seen similar omegas but haven't seen any with the exact same face as mine because the numbers are so plain all other pocketwatches I've seen the numbers have we curls or flicks on the end of them, and that's were my knowledge ends on this pocket watch so hoping some one here could shed some light on this for me many thanks

Serial puts it around 1954-5 which partly explains the good condition and also the plainness of the dial. Re the dial, at a guess earlier models were more elaborately decorated as was the fashion but by this more austere era a lot of the flourishes had been dispensed with. Pocket watches were already becoming old hat by this point so there won't be a lot about post WW2.

If you search on omega 161 movement you will find a few hits, inc a thread on here that discusses these:

The 161 caliber is one of the version of the 38,5 series - with the new name. A very nice caliber.

I would say this dial feature is pretty classical for Omega pocket watches, in particular for the 38,5 series, although yours is very neat. I am surprised you did not see any similar dial.
