Anybody ever seen a 563 cal like this?

I recently purchased a vintage big triangle seamaster. However, I’m having trouble matching it with another 563, specifically regarding where the words “unadjusted” are and the jewel count

Was the cal 563 not intended for us market with less jewels ? Tax reasons? Use google.

Yes. Quick search. 166024 came with cal 563 with 17 jewels.

Thanks Shabbaz -- except that is what I'm worried about. The location of the engraving is different. Is that something I should be concerned about?

Start by asking a extract. So you know if the serial is correct for a 300

My 563 has the "unadjusted" above the "seventeen jewels". It is a Seamaster but not a 300.

All the 563 movements I could find look like yours. I've found 550 movements that have the word "unadjusted" below the "seventeen jewels" which leads me to believe that they used the bridges interchangeably

It’s possible, if I remember correct they are interchangeable.

Not a problem - they came both ways. There's actually no such thing as a "563" bridge in this location - it's a 550 part.

Cheers, Al
