So is it worth offering $2K then?
If you don't think the seller will chastise you for lowballing him based on his asking price. I sold my 36.25 mm blue dialed 2504.80 for $1250 and it was damn near mint. The buyer couldn't believe how good it was. The 39 mm versions like the watch in question sold new for under $3000.
I never can figure out if it's better to go in low but realistic when the price is inflated, or just to walk.

I haven't seen anything new (or like new, or NOS) in either an Aquaterra or a Deville in the sub-$3K range, or than the stainless steel Deville Prestige Co-axials. Is there some source that has the new (or newish) ones at a price that low?
