I have a soft spot for Roamer - classic looks at the lower end of the market.

This is my first, before I discovered that I could afford a vintage Omega and long before I discovered OF.

I paid £65 (without appreciating the shibboleth of a ‘restored’ dial) and it’s run perfectly ever since.

Any other Roamer fans?

You would be correct in that astute assumption and therein lies a good deal of the appeal 😉

I really like the Roamer sport watches from the 1970ies.

The 60/70s sports watches are so under appreciated. Provide good bang for buck. Stingray Roto Date:

Excellent, and very attractive sports watches. Seriously waterproof, as well.

This is a stunner! That dial is beautiful. What’s the size of the case?

I know I am late to the party, but i resently stumped upon roamer watches - and can't stop fishing for them now - love especially the approach they had to their inhouse movements - the 436 and 470 - but also the 414 is a small piece of art. The other picture is the latest catch - with an MST 521 movement, one of the last ones before it went downhill for roamer imho

My only one. A budget Roamer Vanguard 303 from the 70s with MST 801 caliber. Solid watch for the money.

According to Kris Bubendorfer over at the excellent Roamer Watches Info: "The Vanguard range was intended to be a cheaper alternative to the expensive Stingray and Mustang ranges and the mid priced anfibios. MST 801 was an economy caliber designed and produced by MST, as the beautiful MST414/430 was no doubt too costly for use in cheaper watches. Production period: 1970 - 1976"

It's time to lift this thread up. Here's a rather simple Roamer Searock (yet still with an in-house MST 522 movement) with a dial colour you've probably not seen too often before:

Kind regards,
