What does alarm sound like. I have a JLC memovox and I love the mellodious sound
There are some video reviews on YouTube with demos of the alarm...

...don't get your hopes up, though: it's not melodious! (but very cool, all the same)

hi,
I'm going back a omega 166.071 memomatic and I can not find a piece that is a kind of small disk or corrugated ring (piece circled in red) that keeps the movement in place when the bottom is screwed, could you give me her reference she may not be specific to my model but I can not find 🙁 thank you for your help::stirthepot::

The spring you need is part 085ST0011. It's readily available from Omega, so you will have to find a watchmaker with a parts account who can do the work for you if you can't find the part on the open market.

Cheers, Al

Cool idea, let’s rejuvenate this thread!

Here’s my NOS addition to the pilot case Memomatic fan club.

How about a close cousin? - 1960's Enicar MemoStar Alarm Watch Ref. 298-01-01 (modified Lemania 2980). Similar if not same case, same Lemania base movement and crystal as the Memomatic. In fact, I used a NOS Omega crystal when I replaced the crazed and damaged old one because the Enicar was impossible to locate. Both are alarmingly beautiful!

I have what might be a silly question. In the photo below which I shamelessly borrowed from @Ken G post. What are the “double hash” marks for? I assume (maybe wrongly) the small arrow that I point to in red is the alarm set. And the “double hash” is a second time zone. Maybe?

Thank you for quick and highly accurate answer. Never knew it could be set to the hour and minute. On my bellmatics you have to sort of guess on the minutes. Just proves I still have a lot to learn. 😀

Here a picture of mine, these are very underrated watches and may be found for a fraction of the price of a seamaster 300.

Wow..... almost all examples in this thread are in pristine / mint condition. For 50 years tool watch that's remarkable.

Just picked up this fella.

It came on an aftermarket "gold" bracelet which doesn't look too horrible but the Omega one shown below is the 1162/173 in gold? Here they refer to is as a 9825. Looks like different end links.

Here is mine with a Miltat MT.088S bracelet which I think, makes it justice. I have been unable to find and original 1170/618 bracelet in good shape. I believe the Miltat bracelet catches very well the end of the 60's and 70's flavor and blends with the Memomatic spirit.

Happy Friday!

I wonder what the correct bracelet and endlink are for my case version, anyone?
If I am not mistaken 1170/618
