Nice! I love it. It's a special watch - not everyone's cup of tea, but nothing ever is. You have a cool piece there, enjoy!

I’m just waiting for the shorter bracelet to come in. OB told me they’re on back order now.

Really nice. Do you had a chance to try the smaller bracelet?

No I didn't. Sales guy said once it comes in, I can go try it out and decide which one to keep.

Oh, that's a nice option:

Great, would be nice if you keep it here updated. I ordered the watch too. And I am unsure about the bracelet size. My wrist is 17.5 cm. Thanks

Still wish they would've made it 40mm.

Will definitely post updates once the short bracelet comes in. OB told me it’s on back order now.

Does somebody has a picture with the short strap for comparison? The longer I think about it, the more I think it's just an optical issue. It doesn't feel thick or uncomfortable.

Congrats on your new watch!

It looks great on you, don't think you'll need the shorter bracelet to be honest. I've had mine for about 6 months now and have the standard one. My wrist is 17 cm (6.7 inches) and wear it clicked in on the third hole. The bracelet end aligns with the end of the clasp anyhow.

When I first saw it I wasn't sure of the fauxtina etc., but it fits great overall with the brown dial and the titanium. Had it been white lume they would need a completely different color scheme on the rest of the dial.

What I love the most about this watch is the lightness and the lume (especially on the bezel). The bracelet looks very different and I like the whole non-shine and toned down colors. I own a Rolex GMT (black/blue on jubilee) and that one is super shiny especially with the shiny ceramics as well, the two watches couldn't be more different and I love having completely different experiences when putting on another watch in the collection.

This watch is divisive, and I think that's one of its biggest strengths.

Wouldn’t hurt to try out the shorter bracelet. I’m on the third hole on the standard length as well.
I agree with you on the color scheme part. If it’s purely fake patina then only the lume part should be brown. But in this case everything including the writing is all brown.

Where you might benefit from the shorter strap is that the clasp will be more centered on your wrist, and not biased toward the 6 O’clock side. I have the same issue with Omega OEM standard leather straps. I find that extra length causes the watch to rotate on my wrist in order to try to center the clasp — which is annoying. I never could get a short strap ordered from my dealer — they kept saying it was unavailable — so I went custom and it fits so much better now.

So I think it is worth trying the shorter Milanese strap if you don’t have to commit to buying it.

Finally went to OB and tried out the shorter strap. Ended up keeping the shorter version. I guess my wrist is in between sizes. The standard version isn’t too long but there’s a whole bunch of excess strap overlapping with the clasp. Now there’s no excess and it sits a little better. It’s a sight improvement, not a day and night difference.

I have a similar issue with mine but didn't think a shorter strap was available. Do you mind sharing a photo of the shorter strap and if you don't mind the price (DM if preferred)? It's something I wouldn't mind considering.

Thanks and congrats on the watch!!

Got the NATO version and put the watch on a non-omega rubber strap. Very pleased however the movement sounds very loud when the watch is shook. Is it just me or is this something others have noticed? G

My take:
I tried them all on in an Omega store and compared to the standard versions. The guy was very good and patient with me lol

With the standard version half the weight is in the bracelet. The 007 titanium bracelet is much lighter but I was surprised how much I disliked it. Really inflexible and felt like wearing a solid bangle.

On nato straps the difference is something like 70g to 100g And it is really not noticeable on the wrist. I was really surprised how much it cancelled out the much more expensive titanium lightness advantage and just don’t buy at all comments like
‘it’s so light I forget it’s there!’ … if you forget it’s there you’ll you also forget a standard Seamaster on Nato is there….

i loved the darker grey titanium color, dome, and have no problem with vintage coloring of lume …. though it’s a coin toss for me if I like the standard black dial or the 007 colours better. …… I honestly might end up with both ….

Can we assume you’ll take it off the rubbish Omega Nato and replace that with the far superior Strapify thinner, lighter, stronger, cheaper version when you do get the Bond one @SAB380 ?

Yup. Already got a couple of options selected for if/when I pull the trigger on the 007 model.
I'd prefer titanium hardware on there but I haven't been able to find good options for that yet. There are a couple sites I've found but they were going for a more chunky style I didn't like.

Definitely seriously thought about it then. Nice!

this is the short version, notice there’s only a little bit of excess material.

I don’t have the standard version anymore so I’m using the picture below to illustrate how it would look when it was the standard version. There’s a lot more excess bracelet material being folded up underneath the clasp.

For the price it's the same as the standard. OB let me do an exchange so I just gave up the standard version that came with the watch and got the shorter version instead. No extra cost.

I truly couldn't stand it. While the standard version's ceramic dial and polished hands/indices shine through any reflection on the dial, the NTTD was just completely washed out. I had such a viscerally negative reaction to not being able to see my new $9,000 watch that I just traded it for a Geophysic 1958 and never looked back (except, that I wanted a standard 300M 😉 )
Nothing wrong with a Geophysic

Thanks! Very useful. I'll look into it.
