Called OB and was told they only have nato version but can swap the nato strap out for the bracelet only if I decide to buy. I didn’t know swapping strap is a thing? Unless he meant buying the bracelet separately.

Probably because they're technically different references in Omega's catalog. Unless the bracelet is a specific point of interest for you (I personally didn't care for it nor was I offended by it) it's still worth taking a look at.

This touches on the other major issue I had with the watch - this $9,000 James Bond watch comes with zero fun little tie-ins, not even an extra strap. Even the watch roll that serves as the inner box, has empty pockets for a bunch of little strap-change tools and accessories it doesn't come with. It was a real let-down in my opinion (for the price. Maybe if it were $7k I wouldn't mind as much)

I’m sure they mean they will sell you a bracelet — no way they are going to give you a $1000 bracelet for free.

Yep, I'm pretty sure they mean that they'll charge him the price of the bracelet watch and swap out the NATO. They definitely won't give out the bracelet for free and I doubt the NATO would be free either if he paid the bracelet price.

I guess I'm the contrarian here, but I absolutely love mine. I wear it all the time. Super light, looks great, and I've never had an issue of not being able to see the time. I have the bracelet (7 1/4" wrist) and it's very comfortable. I generally prefer a 40mm watch but this one wears well.
You can order a shorter bracelet which I think is what you need. You will need to negotiate a package price, as apparently they don't offer it directly on the shorter bracelet: you would need to buy the Nato version and order the shorter bracelet. In my case, I bought the watch on the standard bracelet and ordered the Nato strap (which is still sitting wrapped in the box).

They meant they can swap the nato for bracelet and charge me the difference.

OB let me get the standard the bracelet but they ordered a shorter version. The sales person had no idea the bracelet comes in different sizes. I'll go try it out whenever the shorter bracelet comes in.
I like 40mm and under watches but this one is light and thin. My wrist is 6.75 and hopefully the smaller bracelet will be the answer.

I guess those days are over. Even the standard moon watch doesn't come with all the extra goodies anymore.

The standard moonwatch never really needed them, they just included it so they could pump up the price it seems.

But a movie tie-in watch? Especially a $9,000 one? Come on- that should come with some fun stuff.

I absolutely love my standard black model too (as much as I hated the NTTD, it made me want another 300M pretty badly), so I suppose it comes down to details and what one will tolerate. But the fact remains that the Seamaster 300M design is pretty excellent

I love mine as well. Excellent watch, incredible bracelet, and overall very comfortable.
I'm not bothered by any reflection, that I find minimal anyway.
The only thing I would check is the length of the bracelet, as it's important to order the right size.

I don't really like it on the nato, I think the titanium milanese brings the watch to another level, the nato makes it look a bit cheap.

Agreed. I’m waiting for the short version bracelet to arrive so I can try them out. I don’t like the nato either. It just makes the watch look thicker and wider. I do like the color way though.

Agreed, I think the 300M is an outstanding watch and well priced (except for the NTTD which is overly expensive IMO but I bought it anyway). Besides the NTTD, I like the blue, white, grey and black, in that order.

I had he chance to try he watch. I think it´s really awesome in flesh. My wrist is about 17,5 cm (7inch) and sits really great on the wrist. What do you think?
Is it to big? Thinking about this and the new Seamaster 300.

I think it looks great, and if you like the feel you should buy it. My wrist is 7 1/4" and I love my NTTD, although I do wear it higher up my arm.

I think both look fine and it's just whichever watch you want. I like the NTTD watch but I know the bracelet wouldn't work for me because of the clasp and I don't really like wearing NATO's. At over $9000, I would need to like everything about the watch for me to get it so my preference would lean towards the 300 over NTTD.

I have the NTTD and absolutely love the watch.

Given that this is my first Omega, my choice of what to get evolved considerably over time while I was looking with my wife (she ultimately made the decision of what to buy). I am an engineer by training and obsessed about movement and other details. I love the complexity of the Speedmasters and was initially set on having a transparent case back.

Over the few months that we were looking, I decided that I most wanted a watch that I am comfortable wearing every day. There are a couple of things that led us to this watch. I love that the watch is titanium and lighter than an equivalent 300M. The lighter the watch is the better. While I like the idea of the chonometers and multiple dials on the Speedmasters, the Seamasters are easier to read, and I essentially never have a real need for a watch chronometer. I also rarely take off my watch, so for an everyday watch the value of a transparent back is limited.

Perhaps my favorite aspect of the watch, is that I love it being more understated than the other 300M's. I actually like that it is less shiny and has more subdued colors. I like the brushed finish and slightly less contrasty dial (but still very readable).

I didn't know how I would like the bracelet, but have absolutely no complaints (my wrist is a little larger than 7"). I like how different it is than every other Omega bracelet and band. It is super high quality and made of titanium.

It is always possible to be pedantic and fuss about potential little details that I could take issue with, but I seriously wouldn't change a thing on this watch. My wife picked the watch before I saw one in person, and I love it.

I love mine. I love the clean crisp look of the bracelet and the dial, I find the mesh bracelet completely comfortable (7.5" wrist), and I love that it is a bit different and understated. I've never noticed any reflection issues. I'm also going to fess up and admit I love that it is tied to the Bond movies as I'm a fan. Having said all that, for $9k I think there are better choices for a first watch. A classic Speedy, or a different SeaMaster might make more sense for a daily. It's true it doesn't go with everything. If I'm wearing blue, which I do a lot, I won't be reaching for the NTTD. Grey, some black, and browns of course are fine.

That's the downside of watch collecting though. On a day when I want to wear my Apollo 8 (black/yellow), I often manage to come out of the closet wearing blue, which means grabbing a blue or silver watch. It's tough matching shoes, pants, belt shirt, and now watches! I know, I know.. first world problem.

I’m just waiting for the shorter bracelet to come in. OB told me they’re on back order now.
