Any Love For IWC?

A brand that I have admired from afar. I have been tempted by the field / Mark watches without dates in the past and looking at this lovely one does not help.

The YCII has a ton of presence and character, I think that's a great choice!

It sounds like many of you have been IWC owners since they were known more as "International Watch Company" even among collector circles, as "IWC" didn't have as much recognition. Anybody else remember when searching "IWC" online would return results first for the International Whaling Commission, then the watchmaker further down the page?
Even then, the watches were by and large simple affairs with sterile dials for the most part, and didn't grab attention like their counterparts did. They really upped their marketing game, as well as introduced more styles than ever before, and when we consider the rise of the "watch media" such as internet forums and dedicated websites to supplement the few hard-copy watch magazines that were out, it all came together in their favor. Brand recognition for IWC exploded and they were carried in more shops where people could become familiar with the brand. Enter special editions, charity associations, and sponsorship deals and here we are.
