JDM Seiko 5 Sports Speed-timer 6139 'Pogue' from May 1969.
A later variant became the first automatic chronograph in space, in 1973 (don't believe what the Sinn fanboys tell ya!)! =P

·So, looking at this Pogue for sale on WUS, I can't help but think the Serial # looks a bit suspect... anyone else agree?

It says the watch is a March '71 issue, yet it might have the 70M Resist dial but doesn't have the notched case, which I think would be appropriate...?

Seiko did the first bloody everything! (ok im being controversial but...)
We Could play the first Ever... SEIKO edition
So we have first ever quartz chrono (WHICH I KEEP TRYING TO STEAL OF PEOPLE ON EBAY TO NO AVAIL! they just never go "unnoticed")

The Seiko 6139 automatic chronograph is believed to be the first automatic (self-winding) watch worn in space. It was worn in 1973 by William Pogue on an eighty four day Skylab mission. (SORRY SINN!)
