I haven't at the moment, but as being new to watch collecting, I'm looking at all at the moment, including vintage Japanese. Other items I've collected in the past have had Japanese manufacturers, and the "lawsuit"era of manufacture throws up some very good if not better "copies" of Western products. They sometimes command good prices because of their rarity.

the old seiko divers and chronographs have some AMAZING sturdy reliable movements that cant stand up to neglect and abuse. my pogue picture on the leather nato above is 42 years old and holds time very well even after not wearing it all night its still very close to the true time

I currently only have one but I'm a big Seiko fan. There's no better bang for buck watches out there.. I can see MM300 in my future.

Just added a lovely Lord Marvel 5740c to the collection from a fellow OZ member, KS45 next on the cards and then a GS61 to finish.

I began my collection 2010 and started with seiko !
Then omega ,several other brands I liked.
The first years I spent a lot of money in watches which are not collectible. Not all my watches are in condition and originality I wish it today.
These are the seikos I started:

And I promise to learn make better photos.馃榾

I think I have 22 Seikos and 7 Citizens. Hard not to collect Japanese watches because of the significant achievements of Japanese producers.

Race to produce the first automatic chronograph? Gotta have a 1969 Zenith, Heuer Cal. 11 and 6139 Speedtimer.

Space flown watches? Gotta have a Pogue.

Dive watches? Gotta have a 6159-7000 and 7010.

I used to own a Seiko OM before I went deeper into the Omega world. Hoping to pick one back up soon.

Swiss watches, Omage in particular, are great..... but to ignore the Japanese would be silly, they're every bit as good as the european stuff and are sold at a reasonable price to boot. (not that the finish on the Seiko below is anything to brag about)

present.

If you are into watches and don't understand Japan's mark on horological history then you should look into it. Seiko especially.

Flying Fish; not easy to find in good condition, particularly the cool case back.
