Interes! I happen to know Antoine personally. We both play Beauregard guitars. Although we are diametrically opposed stylistically. Me being a jazzer.

Nice! I had a Skype lesson with him years ago, really nice guy. He actually inspired me to get my Stonebridge 23cr. I picked up this brand new PRS Silver Sky recently.

I have played back in my early 20s, played in a post-rock band... but decided to further my education... Sold everything to fund college + overseas expenses....

15 years later, I'm back!

Picked up this 80s MIJ Fernandes Tele Custom... That I swear is heavier than the average tele. Sounds fab

Bought a birth year MIA Fender stratocaster as a keeper. She's with my guitar tech to fix up before playing again.

The MIJ products from the 80's were great value. I have a 1984 contemporary MIJ Strat that I've had since new. I play mostly roots music and have had this handmade Marc Beneteau since 1984, as well.

I wanted to be but I gave up when I decided I didn't want to put in the work to learn at age 55.

Turns out I can assemble and set them up deccently.

It's been hard trying to sell gear because no one is playing out and making money... or at least not many are.

Restarted the noodling this year after a break, the wife and neighbours are very very lucky, they frequently shout encouragement.

Picked up this K-line springfield a month ago.

Amazing guitar. It feels weird to finally own a grail.....when it's cheaper than a GS Quartz. Haha

Got a few guitars. Haven't played for a few things. Nicely one is a Tokai Les Paul copy. Great song but I find it too heavy.

Guilty lurker here...
My 2011 Martin GPCPA1. The model was discontinued shortly thereafter and then brought back as the GPCPA1 "Plus." Problem is, my straight model has ebony bridge, faceplate, and fingerboard. The "Plus" uses richlite. You tell me which is moe betta 😗

Forgot to mention a few strats and other acoustics that I've had over the years. I'm down to just one strat and my Martin. Am considering a custom of each. Also looking at building an amplifier this winter if I can find time to build the cabinet and break out the electronics tooling.

Years of playing: 16

I'm surprised of how many guitar players this forum has haha. I am one my self! My collection includes a 1978 les paul standard, a 2013 sg and a 90's fender montana acoustic. I understand i have to come back here with some pictures because now i have no available pics👎

A recent addition

Gibson Les Paul Studio
Fairly slim neck so plays beautifully, and sustains well

Also awaiting the arrival of a rather lovely Schecter Corsair 12 string, the Wayne Hussey artist model - a birthday gift from the even lovelier Mrs Charlemagne. It’s on back order with Schecter, so won’t take delivery for another 2-3 months

Here’s a picture of it, with the man himself...

I've been playing for 40 years. This morning, it is my 1994 Grit Laskin 12-fret, small body, koa that I have had since new.

Still looking for homes for these. Very few people in the Milwaukee area are playing, even though some of the bars are open. I'm sure there are some like me who are waiting for the virus to go away before congregating again.

Oh well.

My 70’s guild. Always liked it. Unfortunately after my work accident I can’t play bass like I used to. I have a guy wanting to trade watches for it. I’m not against the idea but it’s kinda hard to let go of. I might go for it, see what he comes up with. As long as it goes to a active player and not someone trying to flip vintage guitars I think I’d be OK

Been raining here all weekend, so took some time to put some new strings on, oil the fret boards and apply some fast fret, I had forgotten how much a difference it makes. Been playing quite a bit due to lock down so was in dire need of new strings. Happy days!!

I have been thinking about learning how to play a ukulele in 2020, quite a challenge as I have absolutely no musical experience (was given the triangle at school) and left school many, many years ago. I also have a 4 year old daughter so thought a uke would be smaller and easier to play together. Though I have begun to wonder if a guitar would be a better option due to range of music available.
Would be interested in hearing any suggestions from those who play both as to which would be best.
I vote for guitar - but I'm definitely biased! I'm a professional musician who also loves the Guitar. I never got to truly learn it well so now in my free time I am taking guitar classes online. I highly recommend this! Since we are all online you can find any teacher that you feel would be a good fit for your style and motivations! It's awesome being online and having this opportunity to connect with any teacher that fits what you are looking for and you feel works well with you, even if they aren't in your area. I highly recommend! It's also a good distraction from the pandemic 😀
