had to dig this out of my dresser, it's been replaced by the Seiko diver (cheapo, bought on Mass Drop). For many years I used a Timex triathlon, then the G Shock for grass cutting, exercise, etc. Seems like the thing is just about indestructible.

My everyday work Watch is the score board sized G shock GPS model.
My best friend had one from a Japan and I always thought it was interesting.
Capable of so many more things than I could ever use it for...but He brought me back one From Tokyo And I admit it really is a wonder of digital capability.
I wear mine 10 hrs a day working on Aircraft. And surprisingly it has very little
Evidence of daily combat.
For something so large it has been free of damage and serious knocks.
The accuracy is un surpassed in keeping time. With all the antennas and James
Bond like sensors I am sure it will Time the End of the World...Just Fine.

I really like the look of the steel ones! I don't even think it's that much based on the reviews. The build quality is excellent!

Ah hell, I was all done buying G-Shocks until I saw this. That link had the black version for $450, so I bought one.

I love my old DW-5300, shame the plastic started to degrade as it still works.

I get an alarming amount of wear out of mine! Always strap it on when I'm on the bike. I've got it on a really nice para canvas strap from SteveoStraps too

Nice watch (and headset)!

I like the idea of canvas strap as well. The rubber standard strap on that model always felt a little undersized to me. Looks like your addressed that quite nicely.

Thanks
Its feels mega! I was never a massive fan of the oem rubber either, I often found that the protruding section which braced against the case dug into the wrist - it even cut into me at one point when I was racing on the bike! The addition of both the strap and the adaptors from jays and kays probably wasn't far off of the value of the watch in the first place but I think it was well worth it

It really is just about the cheapest and most reliable grab'n'go watch. This had been sitting in my watch box for about 6 weeks before I put it on today 馃槑

I really don鈥檛 know why I bought this, but I did. Got caught up in the moment I suppose. It is just a ridiculous watch, ridiculous for me, but not if I was one of those wrappers who did a lot of twitting on the internet. Oh well.

Love this watch as a daily beater... I can actually read it easily without my glasses.
