Another oops watch

Except for a fun watch that my wife gave me, it is my favorite sub-$200 watch.

The interesting thing to me is that it is mechanical, but only $300 (on long island watch).

Since you love it, do you see yourself getting serviced eventually, or do you view it as disposable?

It is cheaper to replace the movement at about $100USD than have it serviced.

I keep meaning to pick one of these up! Very cool.

Is the the big or small, acrylic/sapphire model? Amazing they have so many choices for such a great, cheap thing.
Yes 38mm and surprisingly sapphire. I will post pics of the strap and nato when I get home.

So I arrived home early today as Monday thru Wednesday I was getting home after 8p, wait what day is this, shoot it’s only Wednesday I guess I overreacted with my demands for work life balance and threatening to quit.
Regardless I will do a hodinkee esque review of my Chinese watch. Kept the chrono running today and over the past three days it lost a little under 56 seconds if the thing I downloaded is correct and I did it right.

My review is one of high regard. I think the US should just surrender to China today. The watch seems to work fine so I am ready to bend the knee to president Xi. I always kinda thought the US was a little overrated anyway. Having no date on the watch really did mess me up. My memory isn’t bad it just doesn’t last long.
As you can see it came in a little watchbox with “genuine leather” strap, green NATO (which I will now call “BRICS” no more NATO for this guy) and is superior in all ways, much like Xi Jinping.

thank you

If you lived in china, you wouldn’t even have to download an app or worry if you had set it up right: the state surveillance system would be able to tell you not only exactly how much time it was gaining or losing, but also if the government thought it was acceptable. Much easier!

And I wouldn’t even need to bother tracking it since it was made in China of course it’s perfect.

Certainly a disappointing result, 53 seconds lost in 3 days, I would not be too enthused by that in a new chronograph watch.
I see you bought the non "Gooseneck Variant" ie no micro regulator.
Would be interesting to see what the accuracy would be if properly serviced and time taken over the regulation with the micro regulator version.

I don’t think I could mentally handle it running better than it is.

We’d have to sell all this Swiss crap and start buying Chinese!
