I'm sorry, but I chortled my pepsi upon reading "sweet meat of the nut"

Uuuuh huh-huh! Hey Butthead - he said "Sweet meat of the nut".

No really, it has to be an early brick bracelet stepped pie-pan for me, not a dome dial.

Respectable Member dsio

What is 'an early brick bracelet'?

Also, for such a beautiful watch with an attractive bracelet, what is the price ratio of watch to bracelet?

Thank-you.

Then it had the desired effect! I knew someone would blow chunks on that one. 😀

You guys are disgusting, this is supposed to be Omega Forums, not " The Dive Watch Forum".
Let's show a little dignity and decorum. 🤔

Yes Dennis, I know, you sold your DeCorum ::rimshot::

Tell Jim I said hi if you go.

As for the HA grand luxe... nobody is allowed to bid on that, by punishment of death.
And just how many pennies do you have saved up for this one? You're on pace to take the title of Goldmember from me. 😜

And so did you snag the Heritage one? It was a goodie, at leas to my eye.

It went for $6,875 with the premium. Sounds like a fair price, given the condition and gold content.

I wasn't buying it, that doesn't mean it didn't end up on here (or that it did for that matter) but I wasn't in the bidding, two other guys expressed their interest.

With these, the gold value will always underwrite the value of these pieces.

Objectively, what in a SM300 makes it valuable? No gold. No silver. Just demand/fashion. I'd back gold any day.

Ditto that👍

Well, the vintage SM300 has history and style - I'd say those are good points to have underpining a vintage watch.

Authentic stainless Pateks are rare birds and bring a premium over their gold cousins.

The steel ref A 386 Primero routinely outprices gold references.

My interest vary, but lean towards gold. Although, as with the Suveran, history, with a bit of style makes for an interesting selection. Although the SM300 would be on my list, except it's a bit large for my wrist.

Another candidate for understatement of the year. 😜

Look at a 70's or 80's Sub. Or if you want a similar look to an SM300 with a smaller price, check out Seiko's divers.
