From Peru and matching in the archives but with a repainted dial and buffed out FAP engraving.
I guess beggars can’t be choosers at the price I paid.
It is a pleasure to wear even with its hand painted dial. Now on a JB flat link so it looks the business.

Buying from Peru was made a lot easier thanks to a fellow member buying a FAP from the same seller, so good to know buying from Peru does have a happy ending sometimes.
Here along side my mystery Flightmaster which I am convinced is one of the very first Flightmasters being a 58 2914-2 which is one of three known and sent to Denmark as opposed to Peru.

That hand painted dial is strangely endearing.

Any idea what Omega would do if you were to send it in for a service? Do they have Flightmaster (or Railmaster for that matter) service dials?

No. No Flightmaster service dials in Biel.

I was also following this on eBay. The trouble with these sellers is they auction a watch with no reserve and then don’t honour the winning bid. I’ll bet whoever won it originally wasn’t happy to see it relisted.
And this by no means is a dig at Michael, who’s a friend and a stand up guy.

Very, very cool. That font looks so great especially the F, maybe we’ll see it again some day

The interesting part is, the the Flightmaster font seems almost correct. If that is hand painted, I'd like to know, who the Artist is.....

I didn’t see it first time but was told by a forum friend after I stuck an offer in when it was buy it now or make an offer.
Not sure what happened with the auction.
Cheers, Michael

It could be printed looking at that part Achim, but those minute markers look very freehand to me 👍

As I said, no slight intended.
