Just discs? No pads? I’m just in the pricing stage for front pads and rotors for my 650i.

No pads, they looked good so just a de-glazing for them.

Just bought this Sigma ( Canon ) prime 50mm F1.4 lens to go with the Canon 80D I bought last page, it had a great Zoom lens but no decent portrait/ macro lens.
Also bought a professional flash to go with it about 2 weeks ago so now I am good to go for most shots though I will keep my eye out for a decent ultra wide Zoom lens for indoor stuff ( but not a fish eye).

Probably shouldn't go down the Canon DSLR rabbit hole as I have lots of Sony A mount lens and DSLR's plus micro 4/3rds Lumix, hmmm it's a bit like watch collecting ::facepalm1::

Accidently destroyed my old espresso machine 🙁 so a new (and upgraded) one was delivered today. Rancilio Silvia is, in my opinion, one of the espresso machines delivering most bang for the buck. Looking forward to good espresso again after a whole weekend without 😁

Having a Rancilio Silvia v2 that is still going strong nearly10 years in… (love the coffee it makes more at 10 years old than when it was new, thermostat is toast but boy it heats the milk up quick and hits a coffee shot at a high temperature)

What version is the above model. ??

Bought a new video card for a steal hoping it would breath a bit of life into my ancient system. Was planning to upgrade the rest of the system a bit later. Well, the card is dictating a new power supply and I also want a new case so those are on order. At this point, I’m just going all in and buying a CPU, motherboard, and RAM bundle and building a new system. More to come soon.

Radeon 6900XT OC next to my ancient GTX670.

Yeah, the Silvia has a quite dedicated following. It is a charming machine. My new is the Silvia Pro X, so the latest model I guess. Cost quite a lot (drained my watch fund that I was finally getting going again 🙁) but a lot cheaper than other good semi, double boilers.

Too funny. I just updated from my (even more) ancient Radeon 5450 to Geforce GTX1050. I'm slowly updating my 14 year old PC and almost have everything I need. But, I just stuck in the GTX1050 into my current mobo as it'll run at 90%+ of spec.

According to those online performance comparison websites, the GTX1050 is about 28-35x faster. I just needed it for those new fancy pants AI photo editors.

One man's trash is another man's treasure. 😀

My current PC is 13 years old. I was also going to slowly update things but it got to the point where if I'm going to do this I might as well do that, and that, and that. Now I'm doing a whole new fresh build. It was a bit of wishful thinking that I could just plug and play that card into my system and have it work out. Really all I need is another 8-pin PCI Express power cable (I only have 2). My power supply could handle it. So instead of a single not readily available cable I'm buying a whole PC lol.

So the old PC will live on as it currently sits. What to do with it? Maybe I'll give it to my kids when they're a bit older. Not much of it is worth anything. I did think of parting out the power supply on eBay so I could make a buck off someone else like me looking for cables. Maybe sell the video card for peanuts. I guess it will just sit around for now taking up lots of space.

I got a new-ish mobo/cpu/ram combo 2nd hand for cheap. Ordered a Gen3 M2 drive and the rest I can move over from my old build (including the GTX1050).

I'm going to part out the old PC. The only thing that ppl might want is the RAM. Then sell the old CPU/mobo/5450 for $20 and see if there are any takers. If not, off to the electronics recyclers.

A new roof on a serious remodel job I’m working on. To date, I’ve put in new central HVAC, complete rewiring including outlets, switches, and can lights, and the aforementioned roof. Complete new plumbing is next on the list. Before and after pics. Chimneys got disappeared as well. Long day.

It was this or a new leather strap.

bonus: new flooring, so no new(old) watch for a bit🙁 either.

I’m in your boat. I’m passively shopping for a vintage, way under-the-radar quality watch for cheap. It’s a fun hunt while I wait on my ROI to appear and can get back in the serious hunt.

An awning for the back deck. Since we have had to have a number of trees removed over the years, there's nothing to block the afternoon sun until around 4, so using the deck before that can get pretty hot. We have a small area that has a roof over it that we can sit under, but for anything more than the 2 of us, it's too small.

Looked at options - it doesn't tuck under the eaves and we really would have preferred that, but that style doesn't cover enough area, so this one installs right off the eves.

Retracted...

Extended...

Right now has temporary electrics, and the electrician will be here in a week or so to complete the switch inside.

It also has wind stays so that it can be used with more wind that when it's just cantilevered out on it's own.

A Lelit Mara X. Questioned by wife and mother whether this is the penultimate machine. Said yes but should have crossed my fingers 😁

Been looking at these for years. Picked one up today in an auction 1983, excellent condition, a steal at £360 plus premium = £455

Having decided that the 2011 VW Golf GTi was coming to the end of being a "sensible" family option, I set out on the hunt for some sort of sensible family car.

What I ended up with was an imported (from Singapore) F01 BMW 740i M-Sport in Crbon Black/Barrrique Red with 60k miles on the clock and a full BMW service history.

It cost not much more than a new rolex submariner date in steel... approximately 1/8 of it's price when new.

With a child seat in the back it is indisputably a "sensible family car".

The less said about the £1800 it cost to fix the air suspension, the better.
