Service and a rub over with Polywatch and you’ll be good to flip!
Yep! Paint, bathroom and kitchen makeover, and new flooring will make it pop…which is the equivalent of a service and Polywatch 👍

That’s for sure! I may just reward that effort with a speedie when I get done 😀

For sure. That kind of work is its own reward too. It is so nice to see a run down house made nice and livable again. It is a service to society too, in my opinion.

Picked up this 1945 fixer-upper today. Gonna take some work but the house has solid bones and the market is popping in that neighborhood with outstanding comps over the past two years. Should be fun (and profitable) 👍
I bought pasta today, and you bought a house... where did I go wrong in life? 😕😕😁😁

My postman brought me a Wahl Eversharp Skyline this week.

Fine nib, and really smooth. It is now paired with my black ink from Aurora.

A neighbor was having an estate sale. Stuff was packed to the ceiling. I spotted the record which is one a late friend recorded. I have been working many years (decades) with his successor on Pipe organs. Dave Reese inspired a lot of people.

Took a few weeks to get it, as they wanted to make a CD copy. Ironically I had borrowed the record from one of the other organists and put it on my iPhone. I wanted the physical copy with the large cover.

They also had the broken toy organ. It has a bad circuit card. I may be able to repair it. Opened it up. Someone did a hack solder job on the power connector. Need to take it to the rework station. The keys just go up and down randomly. If I can not fix it, I may convert it to a MIDI soundcard. Then it could play anything.

Asked again about watches. Nothing special they said this time. Will be selling the contents of the storage unit this weekend. May stop by on the morning ...

Thought this might be of interest to NHL fans of a certain era. Mike Bossy died in '22 and his daughter recently auctioned off all his memorabilia. I won this Seagram's trophy that he was awarded for the '80-'81 season (his 50 goals in 50 games season). Seagram's awarded this from the mid '70s to mid '80s in seven sports. A "computer" chose the best player in each sport; basically an early attempt at advanced analytics. I've been an Isles fan since their pre-Cup days so a cool piece to have.

Will do, I'm due for a visit. I'm guessing the neighbourhood has changed a bit since last time.

Bought this last week.
Son said he wanted to join a media / photography class at his new middle school.
This near as damnit new Canon 80D came up from a deceased estate, less than 1000 shutter actuations and indistinguishable from new cosmeticly.
Canon GPS tracker module, Battery grip and 3 batteries, 18-135 IS STM lens and associated filters, manuals and bag, all for US$400.00.
Since talked to the school and they advise not to bring any such items to school, so jumped the gun too soon.
Not sure if I will keep it as already have several DSLR's, Sony, Lumix with more lenses than you poke a stick at so the Canon will be a bit of an orphan though I do have a few G series cameras.
Really dislike the OVF that Canon diehards profess they can't live with out, a good EVF obviates the need for a back panel display and gives genuine 100% coverage for shooting composition.
Who knows maybe I will come to like it, worse comes to worse I can sell it for more than double that I paid.
