Bought my first pair of “nice boots.” From Red Wing, had been wanting some for a while. I like the fact that they can be rebuilt and supposedly last forever, like our watches!
I can highly recommend Caterpillar boots too. Very durable, break-in super comfy, and are less than $100 in most cases. I'd recommend having a pair on hand for the real shite work if you don't want to ding your wings

Actually, and not that I’m one to quibble, but the OP refers to his lunch not his dinner, so that read would definitely be the wrong thread :whipped:

Being a Aussie website, we have breakfast, dinner then tea. (And drink beer with all three)

Like in Oz, in the north of England, where I come from, lunch was dinner and the evening meal, tea.
When I came to London people were confused about whether I was referring to my midday meal or evening mean, so I adapted.
However, whenever your dinner may be, lunch is never an evening meal - unless you get home mid-afternoon, like me, and are famished!

(But I still have dinner later 😉)

Had a choice..

Ghan?

I bought this.. (not my photo) Leica V - Lux Type 114

From an acquaintance.. But this is the first time this has ever happened. I got it home, after awhile turned it on and went to check how it works, but the stink.. The absolute stink of cigarettes was enough for me to put it in an outdoor room (where it still sits 24 hours later,) still stinking. I used to smoke, until 8 years ago, though I gave up smoking inside many years before that.
The price was right for this camera, a "Leicasonic" as they are affectionately known, but I am going to complain about the state of the property.
As stated, I used to smoke and actually do list some items as coming from a smoke free environment, and will be much more diligent in future to enquire if some items come from the same environment. Very disappointed, and hoping the stink improves. Any tips?

Ghan?

Krupp track is from the Pine Creek to Palmerston ( Darwin’s name in the early days ) Was built to go from gold mine in Pine Creek to Darwin but by the time it was finally finished the mine was dwindling down.
Still might buy a section of this for historical purposes....

One I got would have been from the track the Ghan would have travelled on. As there is only on track in and out of Darwin

My new co-pilot

I’ve used basic versions of these fault code readers, but this one is much more capable, and will reset dash lights

Almost paid for itself with the first job 👍

A boxed set of the Hobbit and the three volumes of Lord of the rings, plus separately a copy of the Silmarillion.
I gave away my old paperbacks of these to friends and relatives many years ago, now I have a renewed interest in re reading these.

I had first read the Hobbit when an English born teacher loaned me her original printing when I was in High School.
