I didn't buy this today but I got it finished over the weekend. It's a radiator cap mascot in the form of a very rare plane, the Macchi 72. The 72 flew against the Supermarine S6 in the last Schneider Trophy of 1936. The 72 was faster but far less reliable and the S6 won, later being developed to become the Spitfire. In 1937, the re-worked 72 set the world's speed record for a piston powered seaplane and that record still stands today.

Imagine having this on the front of your Bentley blasting down country roads, with the propellers spinning in the wind. I was hoping to have it in this year's Goodwood Auction but life got in the way.

When the economy craps out, I can use it on my remote Portuguese farm, if electricity still exists.

Which model did you get. I have been contemplating one for a long time. I bought a high power Oster that was meant to be Vitamix like. It sucks.
