Bought a SodaStream. Turns tap water into seltzer. It seemed like a superfluous gadget, trendy but ultimately silly, and soon to be relegated to a corner of the garage with all the other "great ideas" that passed quickly into obscurity. But my wife and son both love fizzy water, and I enjoy it sometimes as well. So with an online sale knocking the price down to $50, and Amazon credit reducing the price even further, I said "what the heck?" Wow. This thing is amazing. So easy to use that even my wife can fizz up a liter when she wants. Lots of flavorings too so we can each get exactly what we're in the mood to drink. This thing will pay for itself in a month! More importantly, we all have the flavored seltzers we want all the time - no opening the fridge only to be disappointed that somebody finished the lemon Perrier. It's also cut my coffee consumption down to one or two iced coffees a day from the five or six I was having. And I'm sleeping better too. I always thought I had such a high tolerance for caffeine that it didn't effect my sleep. Well, clearly it did. But not so much now! Win/Win/Win.
Cool bike, my best mate used to have one just like that(suspect it was a newer remake) and he absolutely loved it! Sadly he's no longer with us so nice to see little reminders like this. Here he is full of pride...
Got a New Sony FDR AX53 Camera. Films in 4K, and HD Image stills. Just came back form London U.K. Paris and Amsterdam and it has not let me down.
Got this Wilson Pro Staff 12pk racquet bag on a great deal. Goes with my ever expanding tennis racquet & collection. Too many racquets and not enough bags so I am always on the lookout for good bags.
After buying real trees every year for the past 29 years of marriage, I finally bought a fake Christmas tree today.
Among other things these Euro headlights for my R107 Mercedes... Already did the Euro bumpers but once installed the headlights will complete the transformation into what Mercedes intended... Wired the indicators on the new headlights to act as parking lights as well so will be able to delete the current rectangle indicator/parking lights under the bumper!
A glass advertising calendar from the '50s. The romance from that period remains pungent through this kind of ephemera...
