Today I committed to spending $1400+ To replace the $&#!!!!!!! Infotainment module in my 4 year old Outback. Subaru is getting a letter from me. 😡

Yikes, let me know how it goes in case the one in mine goes kaput.

Treasury I series bonds. First time in years the fixed interest rate has been something other than 0 or 10 basis points. Oh, and a CD ladder for the first time in years. Would probably be more interesting on the Morningstar forum 🤔

It's fine. I have a new shitty info system. I'm actually better at programming it now.

New but "not working" dishwasher and small fridge ( perfect for my workshop) at Lowe's for $20 each. Got them both working today without even buying a part.

The dishwasher must have fallen off a fork lift. The bottom frame was bent. Straightened that up and installed it. My old one was about 15 years old. Always wanted one that was stainless steel inside.
The fridge just had a bad spot on the starter relay. Cleaned it and it started cooling.

This is just as cool to me as finding a nice watch at a thrift store. Awesome. 👍👍👍

New toothbrush...after the most painful dentist visit I've had in a while 😵‍💫

And going to figure out a way to stash my watches in this vintage Loewe briefcase.

Beautiful! Fun cars. The first car I bought out of high school was a 10 year old MG Midget. Boy, I wish I had kept it. Have fun!

Had an almost identical one many years ago, great fun and easy to maintain yourself, try that on a modern. Had to sell when first son was born, but it is still the only car I have ever made money on!

Another passion, vintage sunglasses These are very rare Oliver Goldsmith 70's-80's two dogs sunnies. Different stand out styles were mad in lmt edition for Wimbledon tournaments.

I learned to drive in a 1961 MGA. My older brother later bought a nice MGB. Both would short out if you just drove past a puddle of water.
Finally found that the thin paper spacer under the points of the MGB had a tiny tear in it. No wonder the British never got far with their space program.
Great handling though, liked both much better than brother's 58 Corvette.

PS
Bought a nice bathroom sink faucet set. Already got a new kitchen faucet set. I'll be replacing all my plumbing fixtures and water heater this summer, and probably my clothes drier as well.
I'll have to put off rebuilding a couple of windows and a paint job.
The old homestead is like that carriage in the poem where every thing wears out at the same time.
