A naïve maritime painting of the famous ocean liner Empress of Britain 1905-1930.

A wonderful piece, even the name is wrongly spelled

Acquired recently from local ‘small town’ Auction Rooms.....That was not subscribed to, and therefore not featured on ‘The Saleroom’

One owner from new…1959 Leica M3, with a 1957 build F2 50mm Summicron, & Leica MC light meter…Stunning nearly 60 year old example, of German Engineering, at its finest

Paid significantly less than £600 ( Also included was original Leica leather case & rigid lens hood )

It has already gone for a full strip down, ‘Spa’ treatment & a complete overhaul……Back in 8 weeks !

I've been putting it off long enough , but Mrs Wiv had enough of her phone, so a pair of S9's were acquired. Quite impressed with it so far .

Received this little Bakelite beauty yesterday and really enjoying having it on my desk. Cable was still unwrapped as new, even has its original box, can't decide whether to peel the sticker off or not, almost seems a shame when it's stuck there all these years.

Awhile back I saw a vintage watch that had a calendar built into the expanding metal band. It was in the form of a paper tape with thumb wheel rollers at each end. The calendar was protected by a transparent window.
Refills would probably be impossible to find but would not be that hard to fabricate using a printer.

Today I bought a pair of shoes for my wife from Massimo Dutti’s website and they just arrived. Plus, a Seiko SKX013, it should arrive tomorrow in the morning.

925 Silver rosary..
Someone told me it is pressured amber but I don;t think so.
I made some experiments I saw on the internet to see if its amber and it failed.
What you think, does it look like amber?
But still it is pretty!

Well, bought yesterday at Goodwill.

About the size of a pie plate. I cut the old frayed plug and will be cleaning the movement. It's going to look great on my workshop wall.
