I’m always astounded how more accomplished members are able to find pieces like these. Whenever I check my search areas (eBay/craigslist) it’s quite sparse for watches of this and the OPs other recent find caliber. 😀 Maybe that’s the reason right there!

Wonderful watch! Thanks for sharing.

+1 on movement shot pic
There was a thread last year about how @watchknut came across so many beautiful vintage Rolex’s, and the discussion went into being very active in a hobby (or venture), and establishing a network of people who are always looking for you, and in turn you take care of them. These can be dealers, watchmakers, jewelers, or other enthusiasts who know your interests and have you on speed dial if something interesting comes up. It takes time, perseverance and most importantly- a very open and honest relationship with others who are helping you in your pursuit.

Why does this never happen to ME?!! I'd have traded my mint 2018 Speedy plus a bit of cash for it

Beautiful find! It's painful how relevant right place, right time this hobby can be at times. Thrill of the hunt though!

Really nice conditions 😀 Is always beautiful to find a Speedy with his original bracelet and end links!

So how many 1990s speedies did he get? 😉

I gave him this one, perfect patina and 1450 bracelet 😀 + some cash of course

i'd hate to sell a family heirloom, but i'd also be worried about that much $$ on my wrist daily... the seller got a beautiful tribute watch and a BIT of cash that might help out too.

congrats to both buyer and seller!
