When I see such an introduction with lots of caps locked words, my attention certainly gets hooked.

Here’s a LOVELY Omega Seamaster for sale. UNCOMMON reference and MOVEMENT. The dial is just INCREDIBLE. Stainless steel case. UNPOLISHED.
...
Case
: UNPOLISHED stainless steel. SHARP lugs. FANTASTIC condition. Caseback hippocampus is clean.

Not here to start another war but to learn. If I am wrong, I will be happy to stand corrected.

Is this what we call an UNPOLISHED case ? Errrr. Is this what we call SHARP lugs?

My experience is mostly in the Speedmaster area but I start lurking outside my Speedmaster niche and when is saw this listing, I thought either something's very wrong or I really need some more education on these models.

Please discuss and help me to understand.

This reference should have small facets on the underside of the lugs. Should look like this. They seem to be polished or worn away for sure.

Yep looks like it is a few notches above bar soap level.

I saw the listing and thought exactly the same. That's a lot of case issues and marks on the caseback and movement for a
PERFECT, AMAZING condition. UNPOLISHED watch.

This looked very familiar to me and I scratched my head for 5 mins before I realized where I saw it. 😁
My senses were tripped but I dismissed them by saying that they were just a hunch...
It's the members and their contribution that make the marketplace what it is.. hopefully all will be resolved in a gentlemanly manner.
Thank you for bringing it up.

Usually when I see listing words listed in CAPS I tend to read them the opposite to what they're trying to suggest. Normally about right... SERVICED 🙄

This is where you look up the post history of a seller for how they interacted with the forum and members to gauge the vibe.

Exactly what I did before I open this thread 👍

Whenever I see something like that, I interpret it to mean: "I have this watch for sale. I have never polished it. I don't know what happened to it before I got it. I don't know anything about watches or how to sell things. Please buy it before my Mommy finds out that I took it out of Grandad's jewelry box."

Please discuss and help me to understand.

You NEED to SNIFF a LINE OF salt, put the LEMON in your MOUTH and drop the TEQUILA SHOT in you EYES and then it WILL all MAKE SENSE...

Thanks for the feedback/input folks.

I’ve changed the wording and lowered the price.

This watch is really lovely; I’m more and more in awe of dials that are this old and clean.

Intact dial and hand lumes are always hard to pass up; Even when I’m saving up for something else.

Feel free to shoot me a DM or reach out privately anytime. I’m an overnight nurse with a couple young kids so I’m always awake.😀

Yeah, unpolished since the last time it was scratched up real good after the nth polish. Brother!

Woo Hoo! 200 posts, I'm one of the big kids now.

It’s not polished, it’s just worn down through repeated acts of friction.

Not wishing to piss on anyone’s chips here, but I was under the impression that this kind of calling out and commentary on another member’s FS was frowned upon here @kov ?

Tend to agree. I didn't realise it was a FS from the forum and now I've seen it, I think it's actually a pretty nice watch and, to be fair, he's changed the description.

The problem is, you read it incorrectly. It’s “UNPOLISHED,”meaning no one of Polish decent ever touched the watch.
