·Hi guys,
I have for sale a fantastic Rolex Explorer II ref.16570 "corn grain" in great conditions, with an unpolished case and a beautiful dial with vanilla patina hour markers.
This is an exquisite example of the rarest of the Explorer II ref.16570: the "corn grain dial" (in Italian "chicchi di mais"), nicknamed this way because in this specimen the tritium of the hour markers ages taking a yellow cream patina while hands usually remain white.
N serial number, circa 1992.
The watch was sold in 1993 in Bangkok by the official Rolex retailer 'Time Midas Co. Ltd.' and it comes with the full set, including the original guarantee (Rolex punched papers).
The watch is original in every parts and runs well keeping good time.
CASE:
Even and thick case that in my opinion has never been polished.
Serial and reference number are fully visible.
Original 16570 stamped caseback.
BEZEL :
Original Rolex bezel in very good conditions with sharp black engraved numerals.
DIAL/HANDS:
The dial is an original Rolex 16570 tritium Polar dial, with an amazing yellow patina even on all plots and all lettering is clearly visible and correct.
The hands are tritium and they are lighter than the hour markers (as it should be in the 90% of original "cream/ corn" 16570 dial).
BRACELET:
The bracelet is the original 78360 with 501b endings in very good conditions, with 13 inks.
The clasp is original to the watch and the code (R9 matches the serial number.
MOVEMENT:
Correct 3185 Rolex caliber running well.
The movement was serviced four years ago according to the previous owner.
SET:
The watch comes with the complete full set: original Rolex box (inner/outer) with sticker, the Rolex warranty certificate, the Rolex warranty holder, the Rolex translation booklet, the Rolex calendar, the Rolex booklet.
Asking 10500 Euro, insured shipping included.
Payment method - I will accept Paypal and bank wire.
Plenty of international references.
