Yikes. Absolutely gutted for you. I'm not sure if any of them will show up in the Detroit area, but you never know. I'll keep a lookout. In the meantime, the fact that there was no sign of forced entry may provide a place for the police to start. Best of luck in getting your watches back. Keep us posted. We're here for you.
Very sorry to hear this I hope you are able to recover them, and the thief gets caught. Sounds like they needed to have access, and know you had a collection like that (and understand the value). Have you interacted with any contractors or management people withiin the last year or so who discussed watches at all with you?
I am gutted for your loss! Like, asked above, was anything else taken? If not, my instincts tell me that it most likely would be someone you have crossed paths with and knew about your watches. It doesn't sound like a random incident. I pray there is a swift resolution!
Man. Insane. I’m glad at least you are safe. Watches can be replaced (hopefully recovered in this case) but it’s never worth your life/safety. I’ll keep an eye out for the Camaro. That triple panda is exceptionally rare. DM me serial if that helps.
You are prob too bummed to talk but have you interacted with the police. What do they say in the matter? I’m in a small town so the cops would probably try to pursue this don’t know about a big place like Oakland
Wow, hard to add much else, just very sorry for your loss. My hope is this is such an amazing, specific, curated collection, that it would be hard to turn these around for cash without the watch community noticing. Hopefully banding together to do the right thing. That’s my hope at least. All the best to you.
Updated the original post with serial numbers and fuller descriptions where possible. Thank you all for helping put the word out and offering suggestions - I have a long day ahead.
This is just fu***ng terrible I can´t imagine how you must be feeling. That is a great collection and I really hope you´ll be able to recover it. I´ll keep my eyes open in my area as well (US South East). Bastards!
Every collectors worst nightmare. I just shared the pictures and serial info with several big second hand/vintage dealers here in Germany. Unlikely that something comes over the pond but if one gets offered over here in Germany some of the big players are aware now. Will keep my eyes open in our shop especially with offerings from overseas. Wish you the best, Max
So sorry to heat that.. I hope Police will be able to find who did that and that all the watches will be returned to you. I do not know about Heuer and JLC but Don't forget to go to Omega to declare the theft. last time I asked, they do not discard anymore if a watch is reported stolen (at least in France), but they still keep a file about them
