Advice sought on vintage Constellation purchase

I am contemplating purchasing my first vintage Constellation but have a strong suspicion that what I am looking at is a dud. Claim is it's a 1952 2648-1. The movement and case back confirm that but the dial looks suspicious to me - namely the raised Omega font, which I am pretty sure isn't consistent with the year of production. If you could share your views I'd be grateful. Pics below.

Impossible to say much from the odd angle of the pictures. I can tell you this much:

1. Dial is too clean for an almost 70 year old watch.

2. The case has been severely polished. The bezel on a stainless steel case should have a sharp crease. On this example it’s almost gone.

3. The hands are of the correct style, but I think they have been replaced. Same is true of the crown.

This far from a collector grade example and the price should reflect that.

Hi and welcome on board!

Clearly a redial IMO, look at the poor printing quality

Lugs quite polished.

Hands look wrong, at least the second hand is too long.

Pass!

Thanks. I think you're right regarding the length of the second hand. Appreciate your advice.

Omega logo of 2648 has rounded edges, OMEGA was printed in ink, not applied.
