The numbers look too large. They should sit clear of the inner bezel metal ring instead of virtually on it as here. As on the first 3 posted above by @Shabbaz and possibly also the 4th, I can't quite tell from that picture.

Thank you for pointing this out. I did not notice it, to be honest. 馃榾

The original bezels were prone to delamination and this model is more often seen with a service bezel than the original. The correct service bezels have a slightly different font from the original but it isn't like the OP's one; on the replacements the numbers fill the black section but they are elongated not round like the ones above.

77 is a tough omega birthyear. I'm from 76 so I know. Why not a 77 speedmaster? They are still more or less affordable. If I'm correct there was one last year on OF for $ 3600-ish. I'm thinking to buy one too but the speedmaster vintage market is not really my thing. And I got a modern speedmaster so not in a hurry.

I鈥檇 love a 77 Speedy - but I need to be quick on the draw, as I have found they get snapped up quickly. Looking at a modern Speedy in the meantime, either Pro Moonwatch or FOIS... Thanks for your help with avoiding this watch, though!
