Hi, trying to getting some advice for hunting a vintage speedy.
Dial: Brown dial and in 2911xxxx range seems like a natural one with discoloured greenish lume.
Hands: Dark brown lumes looks like original one
Case: Looks good no overpolished.
Bezel: Fair DON bezel come with a modern one DNN bezel.
Bracelet: 1171/1
Pusher and crown: Looks like a correct one.
Extract: No, but seems everything looks good.
Overall: I think it looks good, but also it cost about 11.3k usd, i know it’s quite normal hit 12k mark to get a good brown dial 145022, and also it come with bunch of accessories, do you guys think it’s worth paying premium for getting this 145022 brown dial speedy, really near to pull the trigger this time.

Looks like it’s all there, it is in correct range for 861 brown dial (2911xxxx and 2960xxxx.) Case has been polished but not terrible. Movement looks nice, clean and tidy. If you like it, then go ahead and pull the trigger

Absurd price given the overall condition. If you are really considering paying that much for a -69, I think you could get something much nicer. If I were going to sell mine, I would be thrilled to get $11k for it (but NFS).

Not sure is it still negotiable, but wonder how much you think it worth? I saw another 69 in similar condition on C24 sell by a dealer in about 10k.

Your watch is a real beauty, I’m sure it will worth more than 11k in future.

I think that C24 watch has much more attractive lume, but I'm not convinced the dial will look very brown in person.

Price to high. There are 105.012's out there in the same range that are a mores serious consideration.

Thanks @kov. You're a few slots down the list, but noted anyway. 😉

I haven't done serious Speedmaster buying in 10 or so years, but 145.022-69 watches were so heavily produced, I used to buy them for parts or to modify with interesting dials/hands. Are they now scarce? At 11k usd, they should be as scarce as a 68 transitional or 67 cal 321. Early 70s 145.022 watches appear to be available under 5k in very nice shape. I get that some think the degraded "brown" dials are somehow preferable, but that isn't hard to find in a 69. I would have guessed the watch shown here to be worth half the price shown. Maybe 7500 at worst. I need to go back to Speedmaster University for a refresher, it seems.

I would not pay that much for that watch. I got a grody but original and unmolested of the same reference for much, much, much less with a 1039/516 bracelet many years ago. For general interest, I've checked prices occasionally and today, I think my watch would fetch about 7 or 8k USD.

I don't keep track of all the additives or subtractives in the vintage Speedmaster game as I have exactly what I wanted and was looking for. The one you're asking about is not original and has been polished. Does a "brown dial" make it desirable? Not to me, maybe to some. I think it's priced double what it should be. My opinion.

Seems like getting harder to find a decent one in decent price almost all sell at premium price, except some sell on OF by some private collector which sell like lightning.
I also find one 68 today which look quite nice which I think drop in good range but also sell in premium price, what do you guys think about this one?

For that number I’d expect a near perfect DON bezel and a 1039 ... see if you can whack the number down.
