advice on the 2018 Seamaster 300 dial choice

I also went grey dial and my AD said the same. Greys were being sold immediately and requested to order more often. I went grey because I'd seen precisely zero grey dials out in the wild.

I hope they don't become too common like black bay blacks that I seem to see a ton of.

I think I'm after a blue or black and rubber to cover all bases. Yes I know that's sad!

Which dial to choice? It couldn’t be simpler!

Come on!

Even astronauts (and they are out of the world, in the outer space) know it, because they see it!
What’s the color of our planet?

Blue!

Why is it blue? Because of the sea that covers 2/3 of the surface.

The SEA! Aren’t we arguing what’s the best choice for a SEA-master?

Everybody knows what color is the sea, even who lives in the center of any continent.

What’s the crayon kids use to draw the SEA? Not black or grey for sure.

Come on guys, the answer is blue 😎😁😁😁

Not keen on the “wave” dial makes the watch look fussy. I have 2 Seamasters black and blue, both have plain dials.
I have gone off Chronos as well for the same reason.

To honest , in real life they are all so different from press pictures.
IMHO the black dial tends to make the watch feel small, almost 36.25mm midsize small.
The blue seemed rather flat to me, BUT the silver takes on a real 3 dimensional vision.
I pulled the trigger on Silver Dial on steel and (added the blue rubber/buckle for $270).

I am so close to pulling the trigger on one, but can't decide between the blue and grey dials. Either way I'm getting it on steal with the blue strap accessory add-on. I love how the blue is classic, but the new grey is very appealing!

If you haven't seen it in person, take a look at the gray. It changes color depending on the lighting conditions. It even can appear close to black at certain angles. If I didn't get the Titanium/Tantalum/Rose Gold diver, I would have went with the gray diver.

Blue is just classic for this Seamaster, but I have to say that the silver has grown on me. Honestly, they're all great options.

Black dial on rubber strap would be my first choice, blue would be my 2nd, not a big fan of the grey one.

This wasn't that close in my opinion, the blue just doesn't pop compared to the more "inky" version of the previous blue, the black says to me I want a submariner. I owned the older one in black and sold it because it was too small and was psyched when the new one came out but even though it was an improved watch, I couldn't get excited. The grey/blue has stood out as different to me and is really versitile, definately the combo to own with this watch, great contrast, interesting, totally understand why they chose this to be the bond watch. My dealer had several blues and blacks and only one grey and said that every time they have a grey one, it sells fast and was less motivated to discount it. No wrong moves though in general, all look nice!

How do you find the readability of silver dial on a daily basis?

I personally prefer the gray, but if you are between the black or blue, have you seen the new Ceramic/Titanium black? The wave pattern is raised vs. engraved. The way the light shines off of it is strikingly different, but in a positive way...

Yes I tried it on, i love it but 43.5 mm is a bit too big for my taste..

Isn't she a beauty though? Did you take photos of the blue and black 42mm on your wrist? I don't think you will ever go wrong with a blue dial for a SM. It's iconic, but if you already own an Omega with a blue dial, I would go with black!
