just a follow up... So I've taken the Geneve in to get it serviced due to the -90 sec issue. All good news to report... he thinks everything is in fantastic condition... all original in his view, and rarely opened. Doesn't think the case was polished, but could just be a good job. Pretty happy with it. It's about +3 seconds after service.

Just out of curiosity - where did you have it serviced?

I think the .041 series makes a great introduction to vintage Omega.
I wouldn't change the original hands but I think the crown might be a replacement.
Here's mine

in Toronto Canada there's an independent guy... Shane Ede who was well regarded. Seems to have done a great job, and reasonably priced for a complete service.

So, which watch next ...... ?

This was my second vintage. I have a '73 Doxa Incabloc that's a lot of fun (day date with a TV dial). I'd like to get an Omega Seamaster Cosmic. I just love the look. Not sure how collectors feel about them, but I love them.

I also just bought a gold plated Doxa c-shaped Conquistador as an impulse. $125.... clearly not nearly as valued as Omega. But it looks fun.
