Late to the thread but the MK II is one of my favourite watches.
@ConElPueblo gave you the right advice above re checking for a polished case: look at the cut out for the bracelet; compare the amount of metal to the top edge of the case and to the bevelled edge at the side. Polishing, however good, always changes those dimensions. You can also gauge if there's enough metal left to correct a bad job.
The dial isn't the most attractive, but it seems honest. Same goes for the handset. Please don't be tempted to go down the route of a cheap re-finish. You could end up doing irreparable damage if someone has already taken some of the meat out of the case.
