Hi,

I am looking to buy this 168.010 which comes with original papers dated 1967. Will add to my 168.041

Does anything look off to you?

It looks very polished and the dial looks tired and poor. I would pass unless it was absolutely dirt cheap, and then I'd still pass.

Thank you for your reply. It's currently listed for £600. Did not notice about the polishing but yes can see about the dial

@Davidt is spot on here.
I'm particularly fond of this reference and the one you posted is a poor example.
(papers are a nice thing to have but don't make up for condition)
£600 would be a bargain if it were in good condition but not as it is.
The medallion has all but gone and the dial looks very tired (and it also has a replacement crown)

For reference, the lugs and bezel should have well defined chamfers like this.

It's very worn. I would pass. There should be a constellation over the observatory on the verso medallion, but you have an overcast sky.

I believe that’s the worst medallion I’ve ever seen. All stars completely polished away…

Thank you everyone for your replies. I will pass on this one and hopefully find another one at another time.
