Hi

I bought one of these with box but without certificate or special coin a few years ago for £2k on eBay. It came with a certificate of authenticity from the watch company I bought it from, but that didn’t sway my decision much, more helpful was a friendly Omega dealer confirming it was genuine.

I sold it last year for £3.5k when the current Globemaster took over as my daily work watch.

My sense is that bar a world economy crash, you should be able to get back what you paid, if you ever sell in the future, for either watch. If money is no object then buy the full set but if it were me, i’d buy the no box set - $3700 is a bargain! Plus if like me you don’t like metal bracelets, stick it on a nice strap and sell the bracelet for an easy $500 on eBay...

It seems that the return policy is not designed by essence for this kind of situation where the buyer appears to be changing his mind as he finds what could potentially be a "better" deal. Yes, a return is possible.

Roger that, glad to hear it isn't a private seller somehow. What you are describing looks like some kind of buyer's remorse to me, hence my comments. Would I be the seller, I'd be upset because this is somewhat unfair.

Then again, it appears I'm in minority here... I'll just shut up then 😉

Ho I understand your feelings perfectly, selling something for a certain amount of money is always something that needs to be taken seriously. And it is often difficult to find a buyer, so I understand your comment.

1500$ spared on a watch is something I need to take into consideration seriously as well, and since I'm planning on wearing the watch on a regular basis, the argument of the 1500$ box in a cupboard is valid...
