Hi all,

I'm looking for a while to find a watch that is coming from 1995 (my birth year). Because I'm not that familiar with Omega watches, I was wondering which models do you guys advice?

I really like the Omega Moonwatch Professional, but any other suggestions are welcome 😀

Thanks in advance & KR!

A collective GASP as so many forum members suddenly felt old after you suggested that a 1995 watch was vintage 😲

Speedmaster of course- and a mid 90’s Speedy shouldn’t break the bank.
If you don’t mind the Q word, ‘95 was the first Bond watch, the 300m Seamaster 2531.80

+1 for a speedmaster.
You can find a LE made for the 25 years of moonlanding.

Technically you are right, and your question is completely welcome here. My wife sometimes remarks that my attempts at humour can fall flat. You two would get along.

https://www.birthyearwatches.com/

This website is worth a laugh every time someone asks for a birth year watch 😁
I occasional check to see what they made in the years.

Speedmaster and Seamaster are both good choices. Watches of that ‘vintage’ should have everything with them box and papers. Condition is everything so buy that watch that is in the best condition possible. It is easier to pay a little more on the purchase price than trying to correct problems down the line. The good thing about a birth year of 1995 is there will be plenty of choice. If possible try various watches on. Thus if the watch does not sing to you, walk away you will find something better that does.
Hope that helps.

Be just aware about the serial number, I bought mine thinking it was a 81 and it’s a 82. But I don’t care.
I’am from November 81, so a march 82 is more close to me than a January 81.

Can we also consider year of conception? That opens up another year sometimes

And in theory, the parts for your watch may have been born at the same time you were.

Not quite. Quartz 1993, auto 1994. 2531 is the auto ref, 2541 quartz. He can have either.
