Now that you’re retired, it’s just high heels and leather all day long. I’m glad you felt comfortable enough to share that with us. 😁

I hope this is a start to a very happy chapter for you.

You’re a good friend. I think @JwRosenthal would pull these off well.

😁
Christian Louboitan’s tend to be a little snug around the vamp for me. Perhaps something with a rounded steel toe and a 2” Cuban heel? I think that would look nice with something strappy and off the shoulder.

This is my wife’s late father’s watch (likely his Canadian Legion watch, if any military watch pros have any idea please let me know 👍). She bought this red strap for it, as it goes well with the maple leaves on the dial.

I was at my local leather shop on the weekend and they had a special order of ostrich legs on sale. I have some acrylic watch strap templates inbound, and thought that making her an alternate watch strap would be a great first project for the templates. Won’t this blue pull out those daggers and the crown nicely 😎

Very cool. 👍
and PS wow Steve, I’m catching up to a lot of action here.
All tgosr leather accomplishments are amazing, congrats on having more time to do stuff you enjoy so much 😀

The blue ostrich strap would probably look at bit like my electric blue ostrich strap...great colour!

Decided I better get back to work.

Looks like you cobbled together a pretty good repair...

Cutting belts off a double shoulder. Before and after. Belts done. Now for another watch roll. The next roll goes to a Canadian Watch Collector.

@Syrte @DaveK @JwRosenthal

Should we change this to “adventures in expensive briefcase making?”

I think not. Nice case but wow! Lotta money!

Lets go with “Adventures with too much money to spend”. 😁

Yeah, this is another one of those completely tone-deaf offerings from
Dinky…but are we surprised?

First day retired and I turned on the radio and heard this. Decided I better get back to work. Then these items fell on my lap. An old sleeping bag holder - Canuck was spelled wrong- needed the handle re-attached. 3 minute job. And then I got these fancy red sole shoes to repair. I have the equipment so that took about 5 mins also (I learned to do shoe repair as a teenager). I have 2 belts to make and then it’s back to watch related stuff!
Those fancy Louboutin "escarpins" worth the work, aren't they? Haha!😉

You laughed at my braille watch that I made a pilot's strap for, but Dinky's tone-deaf alarm clock was an even more refined level of irony 😀

I am making two more watch rolls like the last one that I made. One for a Canadian Collector. I am making one with natural leather and one just like the previous one. I am giving the natural leather a wood grain look. A bit of time on the burnishing wheel is all it takes.

Good lord, that's a lot of pieces on the go 😲 it will be rewarding to see it all come together. I love that moment, but it's also the point that I tend to rush things at.

The woodgrain looks dope, I've never seen it before 👍

Thought I would share this here- courtesy of @DaveK for an upcoming milestone birthday (thanks for rubbing it in, man!) I was literally moved to tears when I opened the package.

And of course, with Snorkel’s

My goal was to make you feel bad about your birthday, but it looks like you’re determined to enjoy the occasion anyway 😁

Can I take your watch pouch in the pool? Is it waterproof to 50m?
