"Sadly, my Omegas have been lemony. I have 2 Omegas and they have both been in the shop 3 or 4 or 5 times each. It's always expensive, it's always a pain in the ass."

He has an early 3313 PO which he admits to have dropped. A few times hence the services.

I have the same PO and can also state mine dropped 2 inches onto marble and also needed to go into a service although mine was a late 3313.

he also had a few fake speedies he wore with his costumes and got called out for it for which he was slightly bitter.

recently he has been wearing a Pepsi SKX.

I’m going to chalk it up to bad luck and not being easy on watches.

His main watch is the Planet Ocean Cal 3313 coaxial and he was an early adopter so he probably had issues before they fully fixed it

Well it is a thing that really did happen and it’s sad and disappointing in part because of how completely avoidable the issues with the two-level coaxial escapement were in hindsight. There are a lot of owners from that early to mid 2000s time period who probably associate the brand with poor reliability because of that and they have a point really.

Based upon the fact that he is showing off a fake Seamaster in his video I would say the bitterness is at being called out, but he's clearly ok with fakes.

IME that says something about someone's character. I don't know much about Savage at all other than he was on mythbusters, which isn't something I have watched much of.

I hadn't heard/seen that. You can't call a watch "lemony" when you mistreat it.[/QUOTE]

I can see your point, but that wasn't my conclusion. My conclusion was being surprised that he was gushing over Seiko. I recall Archer more or less writing in his review below that in effect you get what you pay for.

There is a very active Seiko modding community, it's the degree that you can throw a Seiko motor in just about anything and do it cheap. For somebody who wants to modify watches and maybe modify watches so that they look like other watches, that would be a thing to gush about I suppose.

Also, I think some people just aren't super concerned with some of the finer details.

No lemons here, just delicious and satisfying lemonade. I own an SMP300 (8800) a speedmaster 57 (9906), and owned an Aqua Terra in the recent past (8900).

All of them an absolute pleasure to own, ridiculously accurate and reliable, top tier materials/quality of manufacture, and so attractive on the wrist.

I’m not trying to rub salt in your wounds, just want to share my experience has been stellar with multiple/different movements. Based on my experience I will continue to give them my hard earned money as new references that appeal to me become available in the future.

I’m 3 for 3 and so many others have had the same great experience with Omega so I feel very confident supporting them.
