Very cool piece. I love the early 50’s fat lugs as well. How cool a find it that? Well done.

Congratulations @gbesq.

My hobnail says hi.

For the radium filled markers, maybe you can try taking some picture under a UV light.

Syrte, I have to admit that I really like that Peccary Brown Heritage Strap. Why oh why do I have such expensive tastes? 🫨

If you like the peccary one, you should also check out @torrestraps on Instagram (or here)- he has another similar looking calf strap which I think would look great, and maybe be a bit more cost efficient as he’s selling directly, not through several intermediaries.

Thanks, I will definitely have a look at those.

Those also look very good, posted on the Instagram account of OF member @jankoxxx. The middle one somehow has the right look, perhwps he can make a tan colored one?

Good day all. For your viewing pleasure, here we have a pretty rare bird that just arrived this morning. A 1953 steel cased Seamaster reference 2657 jumbo with a two tone hobnail dial, dauphine hands, rose gold dial furniture, drilled lugs, caliber 342 and, most surprisingly -- a crosshair subseconds dial which I have not seen on a hobnail dial before. I believe it to be fully original with the possible exception of the crystal and crown. Note also the small triangular radium filled markers at 2, 4, 8, 10 and 12. This one won't be leaving my collection for a very, very long time. For the moment I have it on a brown leather strap from Artisan with quick release spring bars. I'm open to suggestions for the perfect strap to suit this very special watch. Many thanks and much credit to my friend, OF member extraordinaire and all around great guy MtV -- who was one of the prior owners of this beauty -- for helping me to locate and acquire it.

Sweet as!
