A Very Special New Arrival: Black Hobnail Constellation 2652

Just arrived this evening. One of three known examples (the other two are also owned by OF members). The combination of indoor lighting, an iPhone camera and my relentlessly poor photography skills simply doesn’t convey how stunning this watch is in person. The dial text in my photos looks faded, almost washed out, but in reality it’s clean, crisp and highly visible. The case is nearly perfect and the bonus is a first generation Omega BOR bracelet with the sliding style clasp. I don’t see this one ever leaving my collection. As soon as I have some spare time, I’ll take some photos in natural light with my DSLR and update this post. Many thanks to my friend and fellow collector MtV for helping me to add this spectacular 2652 to my collection.

I got to experience this piece in person while hanging out with Matt the other day. I admired it under sun light for a good 10 minutes while he was preparing the box for it. I really did not want to give it back 😅. It truly is a remarkable piece full of depth and character. He was able to persuade this one out of my hands by handing me what he had just acquired 😀

Looks like a redial to me mate.
In the brotherly mateship of the forum, I'll take it off your hands (at a redial discount of course) so you don't have to suffer looking at every day and thinking "Why didn't I see that?".

I'll PM you my deets for the transaction.

😉

Yes, I’ll have to mull that over. 🤔

PS: and thanks for calling it a hobnail and not a waffle.
You could actually elevate it to a "Clous de Paris Superbe" and nobody would disagree.

Very, very nice indeed! Congratulations on finding a lovely example. I like that clasp cover too; it looks svelte!

That's awesome! Can't wait to see it in person at the meetup.

Was this the thing you almost sold your Seamaster 300 to fund?
