I can't believe what I found on auction in Switzerland! A fake Seamaster 120 with a service warranty card from Omega. Don't know if it was service by Omega Biel or a service center, a shame anyway and I bet the seller knows that it's a fake.
I see that the case doesn't have the step in it, but is any of this real? Any of it service parts, or all just strait counterfeit?
No point to make a franken when everything counterfeit exists. Only a real movement in all of these I've seen.
There are kits of all the necessary counterfeit parts floating around the internet, just provide your own movement.
Presently the market is flooded with fake SM 120s, probably more fakes than genuine ones on eBay right now. Buy without serious vetting at your own peril.
I think, when the watch serviced by Omega himself, there is originsl and not fake. Omega know the own watch at the best. Thats my opinion....
Let's find ten or so with the cases in question on eBay and order extracts for them based on the serial numbers. For all that comes back as an original Seamaster 120, we pay for the extract. Those who come back as something else, YOU pay for... Game?
Bla bla bla, i know the guy who sells the watch. He send me this sheet from Omega. So, what is now fake? Who knows it better? Your bookworms or whatchmaker by Omega? Every Number is correct (sheet and card)
I'm not seeing anything on here that is so wrong it can't be explained by "refinshed case" and "replaced with service parts." Tom
Except that there have been no bezels available from Omega for ten years or more...and that one is the same one used on all the counterfeits currently on the market.
Looks like they let it go, there's a line that says, "An identical bezel for this model is no longer available." But I am not a German speaker, someone who is will need to translate. Tom
Sorry to say that Omega often doesn't know their ass from a hole in the ground when it comes to vintage, one only has to recall their embarrassing fails in authentication of several supposedly significant pieces in the famed OMEGAMANIA auction in 2007.
