A question of Conquest Crown

The date at 12 feature on the caliber 291 only existed from late every 1959 to very early 1961 on Conquests (going by serial numbers). Longines switched that feature to the caliber 341 in 1961 for the Flagship, ceasing to make that in very early 1962. I think, but have not collected enough evidence, that the 341 then got a date at 6 option on the Admiral and maybe the Grand Prize in subsequent years.

There's a 1968 date @ 6 341 Flagship for sale: http://www.ebay.it/itm/231451608332

@Andsan Thank you for this thread - really useful that you have shared the brochure and details. I have recently acquired a Conquest 9025 (as in the brochure) that is in fantastic condition. However, the date window at 12 is not magnified and I have a different crown. Any comments or feedback from those more qualified than myself will be appreciated.

Maybe the watch has a replacement crown and crystal. Pretty common to have both replaced at some point in 50+ years.

As a whole, it does not really look like a museum (worthy) piece.

Indeed. Why Longines didn't send out a better example for the press package? Crown and crystal aside, the overpolished case really got me 😡😡::facepalm1::

Sorry for the delay, was traveling for the bank holiday long weekend. And the sun's just come out, so here are some pics. Some of the enamel has come off but otherwise in mint condition

I wake up this very interesting topic as i am interested into these models, I suppose than the ref 9021 no date was made before the 9027 with date at 12. It must have its scaloped crown too ? I am surprise after research how rare this crown is still on these models. Thanks for any help !

Which reference do you mean exactly? There are two 9021. Pics would help.
But yes, these crowns are not easy to source.
