Fantastic review. Still a bit too thick and large for my taste. I recon Tudor can do better.

Have you tried one on? It's a very proportionate watch that in my opinion, wears slightly smaller than it's size. Not terribly smaller but on the wrist it felt the same size if not slightly smaller than a SubC.

Just tried one the other day (quite lucky to have the chance). It wears a bit smaller as you said. Finish is good, however the lugs are not to my liking and the tickness is a bit to much for me. Really nice watch with a very useful complication for a decent price.

I hate to state the obvious, but maybe it is only obvious to me...
Have you tried on the Black Bay 58? It is smaller all around and thinner...or maybe the style doesn't suit you at all. Not everyone is the same. My tastes can only be qualified as eclectic.
The Tudor Black Bay doesn't have to be your cup of tea. ;-)

Anyone looking to take delivery of a Tudor GMT after ordering months ago?
Or is it still all in limbo?

My local dealer, Bachendorf's in Dallas, told me yesterday (Nov 14) that they just had a meeting Nov 14 with the account manager for Tudor. ACCT MGR says the date change issue was a "very small fraction" of watches. My dealer contact then said they haven't seen any Tudor BBGMT watches since a little after they sold one to me July. Thanks for an insightful and interesting review! Owned two so far. Such a great watch - especially the matte dial and matte bezel.👍

Just about fell off the chair when I saw the asking prices on eBay 😲 - I suppose they can try. My limited prediction is that like the BB Bronze, the BBGMT will be all over the internet for sale in about 12 months, but I could just as easily be wrong - depends on how Tudor will play the game I suspect. 😗
Completely agree with you. Rolex
Just spotted this in the wild. Shop has one for sale in the window but only on the nato!!

It is a nice watch for sure....should I buy and pick up bracelet later??

Does anyone know if the black bay black bracelet is the same?

Priced at 2570.

Thoughts my friends!!??

My assumption is that these will be pretty easy to find at or below MSRP at ADs by the middle of next year. If you buy w/NATO now and then get a bracelet later, you'll end up paying a lot more than if you wait and just buy the thing on a bracelet. It's a really really beautiful watch, though!

Think they call that a snowflake hand...
Which I have never understood that! Don't snowflakes have six points? Anyone know where that came from?

They are perfect squares canted 45 degrees. I remember trying to find snowflake hands when I first heard this term for the square design. Weird.

Ordered mine in June and not heard anything. Was told 18 months.....theres no way I'll wait that long. Something else will come along...maybe a Daytona if I get lucky! I ordered that a year ago from the same AD so I'm not very hopeful.

Thank you for this interesting and clear review!
I was thinking about changing my BB black (+ money) for it, would you suggest me to go for this deal?
Both in very good condition and full.

It’s really up to you. I have the harrods Black bay and had the GMT until such point as I got it back from service (I then re acquired my 16710).

I wouldn’t overpay. I suspect prices will come down once Tudor deliver again but I personally prefer the diver. I don’t know why but it seems to wear slightly better on me. Also, I prefer the gilt dial which gives it a little more character and the rehaut is slightly deeper (I assume to accommodate the extra space for the gmt movement). I did find the bezel action on the gmt a bit cheap feeling compared to the excellent movement on the diver.

All in all though, both excellent watches at great prices and no real wrong choice. Just don’t get screwed on trade in and try to get on bracelet if you can as is the best value....

I came on to see if everyone was having this problem, not just me. I can't get a GMT either unless I pay a premium.

There are a few about, but mainly on leather or nato. For bracelet you will likely have to pay a premium.

I’d give it a few months until after Basel - something else will be flavour of the month and I expect these to start hitting the windows on a more regular basis.

If you purchase a leather strap version, as I did, You can avoid the ludicrous "bicycle chain end link" look and purchase a Strapcode bracelet for a fraction of the cost difference ($102 USD). Then you will have the leather and a nicer bracelet, very close to the original Black Bay design. The curious thing is...the Tudor web site brags about following design philosophy "form follows function", but the "fake rivet" look by definition does not follow that mindset. Pics 1, Hirsch curved end tan, 2,3,4 Strapcode brushed stainless with solid ends, micro adjustment holes, screws for 8 link attachments, I've removed 4. My wrist measures 7 inches circumference.
