I called the AD closest to my office today - they don't have any, don't know when their next allocation is, and don't do a waiting list. The search continues.

A London AD just called me to say they have one in stock and I’m next on the list. I can’t even remember signing up but I did call quite a few when it was announced. Most wanted a full-price deposit so I wasn’t interested. So, will I like it in the flesh and will I buy it? I have a few days to view it and make up my mind.

Just took delivery of some new straps for the GMT from watch gecko. This watch is a strap monster!

Had it on on the bracelet all of this week and looked really nice but definately prefer this watch on a strap or nato.

ALL LOOK VERY NICE! I am intrigued by the black with the red stitching. Very interesting unusual take on a theme.
You are correct! This watch really WANTS different bands! Way fun! Just bought mine on leather today. I like the casualness of it. Not trying too hard to be flashy.

Totally agree! Here are some closer picks of the strap. It's actually made of rubber with a crocodile print effect. Looks great on and, being rubber, is waterproof so thought would be good for holiday 😀

Watchgecko also had a really nice blue leather strap which I am also tempted by. Matches the blue bezel nicely!

I'm ordering the black with red stitching...perfect for vacation cruise ship...if I get to go again. Thanks for showing us! Going to look at the blue too. Do you like the padded leather? I like them thick.

@blubarb @amiriqbal @Tiny Iota

Now you've had the GMT for several weeks, how are you finding it in the longer term?

Do any of you have a clear side on picture? I've tried this on myself, but have just realised from online pictures that there is an extra facet on the bottom of the side of the case, which I didn't notice in person. I'm assuming this is Tudor accepting that it's too thick and trying to mitigate.

Does this facet make it appear less 'slab-sided'?

Hi,

Tried to get some pics up for you!
I am still enjoying the GMT several weeks down the line.

The pics above show the GMT next to a black bay black for comparison.

The GMT is a smidge thinner and I definately feel wears a bit smaller, in the real world, and more snug than the black bay.

I know the black bay has been much maligned for the thickness by many. While it's definately quite chunky on the wrist, it's all relative to what you like and what you are used to wearing. I was looking at the black bay 58 for a while but am pretty happy with the black bay black for now so will probably just stay put.

The GMT is definitely a keeper for me and very comfortable to wear and practical etc.

If you felt it was good on your wrist then go for it bro!!

Great pictures @amiriqbal, thanks.

I assume that's taken alongside a standard 41mm Black Bay? Weirdly it does help reduce the impact of that side profile and gives the impression that it hugs the wrist more.

Perhaps the BB GMT is back on my list.

Yes, it's taken alongside a standard (non eta) black bay black. My opinion is the GMT definately feels smaller in the real world when wearing next to the BBB.

So worth trying it on even if you felt the BBB was way to thick for you

Don’t get it.
I bought a 58 too. Was super keen and was first on list at my AD. When I got it, I wore it for the weekend and then sold it to a mate for cost. He’s delighted with it. But for me, the 58 and the GMT watches - and in fact all the BB’s just leave me cold. Think I’m the only person on the planet with that opinion. What’s wrong with me!?
