A new strap for an old Constellation

I just wanted to give a shoutout to a chap called Ha Tran at Vinacreations, a strap maker based out of Vietnam.
He created a custom strap in just over a week that’s much more in keeping with the original that would have been on this Connie from 1970.
It set me back just $40 inc. shipping to the UK, which I think is outstanding.
I also sourced what I think is a period-correct buckle for it (thanks to the amazing buckles thread on this forum).
And I’m pretty chuffed that after a service at The Watch Guy, the Connie is back to looking and running as good as it can be.

Excellent work! I have the same Constellation and have wondered about what to do when the strap needs replacement. Thanks for sharing the details. Lovely watch btw!

I’ve been buying straps from Vinacreations for a few years. Very happy with the value for money.

I haven’t special ordered anything yet, but probably will at some point. Hoping the tariffs haven’t ruined the value proposition here.

That does look brilliant on that watch, the grain really makes an impact in contrast with the smooth case design. It does look like the strap sides are around the wrong way though, normally with a tang buckle strap, the tang end goes on the 12 o'clock side rather than the 6 o'clock side so the loose end of the strap and the keepers are facing away from you rather than towards you but if its comfortable by all means go with it

Cheers for thoughts pal. And yes, I realised I put the straps on the 'wrong' way round too! Ta for the heads-up. Now swapped back into their standard formation. 👍
