Hello all, and thank you for approving my membership. Attached photos are from the seller and not the best. Viewed it very briefly today and yes, it really is that grimy. Glass will need to be replaced, strap's a write-off, clear wear, but if the price was right I was thinking of going for it. I haven't found this particular face during online searches. Are there any obvious (or less obvious) red flags I should know about? Thank you for your time.
All comes down to price and whether you like it. Need better pics to see what's going on with the hands and the dial but I think that among collectors there is a little less tolerance for patina on a dress watch like the constellation (as opposed to a Speedmaster).
Can you show the movement, and how much is the seller asking? (You may be able to clean the glass with polywatch or similar).
Perhaps, but at this stage I don't think so. If the OP saw it IRL, he could tell us. Too risky to buy on these pics, at any price.
Hands are wrong IMO, "T Swiss MadeT" but no lume on the hands EDIT: Should be dauphine hands I think so double wrong hands
Seamaster hands. Wrong crown. Ugly dial. WTF on the back of the case. Whatever it costs, it won't be cheap once you've had all those issues fixed. And even then it'll never be more than so-so. I wouldn't touch it. Looking for a cheap project watch is a classic beginner's mistake. Good Omegas and cheap Omegas very seldom happen together and those that do are instantly snaffled. Once you accept the inevitable, ie spending enough money to buy a watch that is already nice before doing anything to it, the quest will be easier.
